About us
Jo
Jo started her love of music from an early age, growing up within a musical family in the heart of Kent, she started learning piano and violin from the age of 6. That was the start of her love of music and performing. Life consisted of singing with her family, who then performed at different festivals and family run events. Life was full of folk music, mainly arguing over which harmony to sing, but was always full of love. Her musicianship grew to performing at secondary school on a regular basis, with a great set of friends who also enjoyed it too.
Jo began to explore music arranging and composition, which transferred into live performances. Her favourite bands at the time were The Dixie Chicks and she loved the stories they told within their songs. This was where she started to flourish in performing and harmony singing. Life continued studying GCSE and degree in Music, whilst still performing with a newly formed choir, where she sang alto for over 10 years, until she moved to Cornwall.
Cornwall has become her home and music was missing from her life, so something had to be done, which was joining a female barbershop choir. This then led to performing within an acapella quartet, singing bass and where Jo met Meg.

Meg

Meg started her musical journey late into her twenties, having always loved singing and drama throughout her childhood. However, she really took an interest in music after her first child started Primary and realising there was very little singing that took place in school, which she herself had loved.
Meg began volunteering as a singing leader in school, it quickly became a success, creating a school choir, directing the children at shows, competitions & local events and the annual school production. There she gained access to training courses specifically teaching music and singing in Primary and had a successful 14years in education. During that time Meg also joined various choirs herself and found she loved the art of acappella singing, she joined a barbershop chorus which built her own confidence to perform. This progressed to becoming the section lead, assistant & Musical Director and is very proud of directing the choir in a national competition.
Enjoying the performing side Meg joined a quartet where she met Jo and there they began a new musical journey bringing their individual skills together to create new music.
